OneBodyOneFaith, the UK’s oldest LGBTQ+ Christian members’ network, is hosting a memorial service at Hinde Street Methodist Church, 19 Hinde Street, London W1U 2QJ on Sunday, April 23 at 2.30pm to raise awareness among faith leaders of LGBTQ+ loss of life to suicide and wider experience of harm, following exclusion and mistreatment in church environments.
OneBodyOneFaith says: “This event follows many years of work seeking to build safer church environments and more respectful dialogue about LGBTQ+ people of faith, in partnership with faith leaders.
“We are expecting representatives from across the major Christian traditions and denominations in the UK, as well as LGBTQ+ people of faith with lived experience of exclusion and harm.”
