Does your pooch have star quality?

If so then the Theatre Royal, Brighton is looking for a senior dog to appear briefly as ‘Candy’s Dog’ during the run of John Steinbeck’s Of Mice and Men from Tuesday, April 19–Saturday, April 23.

Most breeds and sizes will be considered, but he or she should ideally look relatively elderly, have the appearance of a ‘working’ dog, and must have a calm temperament. The dog will be on stage for around five minutes and will be on a lead at all times. No previous acting experience is needed and expenses of up to £300 per week will be paid.

During the run, the successful dog and owner will be required 6–9pm on the Tuesday, 7–9pm Wednesday–Saturday and 2–3.30pm for the Wednesday and Saturday matinees.

This is an equal opportunities call out for dogs of all sexualities!
