UK-born, New Zealand-raised, and now LA-based singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Naomi Ludlow aka Ny Oh has announced her debut album Wildwood, arriving on 12th November.

To mark the news, she has unveiled a fresh preview of the record with her new single Shine-a fun and richly layered, rhythm-driven track that reveals yet another facet of her artistry. The song was co-produced by Grammy-nominated, critically acclaimed producer Jonathan Wilson (Father John Misty, Angel Olsen, Conor Oberst), who collaborated across the entire album.

Written in Aotearoa, where Ny Oh was raised, Shine follows her earlier single Aperture, both songs echoing the roots and resonance that define her debut.  Adding an extra layer of imagination, the single is paired with a playful hand-animated video from UK-based visual artist May Kindred-Boothby.

Shine is a song about friendship and the silly things we do to cultivate joy in our lives. I wanted to encapsulate the feeling that friends share, the desire you have to protect it and bring them up when they're down. Shine is playful, funky, light, everything a good friend should be! It's written to be played LOUD - and remember - when things feel too serious, DANCE.

Born in Worcestershire, UK, and raised in Aotearoa, New Zealand, Ny Oh is now based in Topanga Canyon, Los Angeles. Despite being early in her career, she’s already taken on a range of high-profile musical projects.

She fronts the eccentric jazz outfit Neon Gru, has toured the world as a backing vocalist and multi-instrumentalist for Harry Styles’s record-breaking stadium shows, and has collaborated with artists like Margo Price and Madison Cunningham.

Neon Gru

For an Aotearoa artist, listening to nature is of godly importance, and Ny Oh’s connectedness with it is as effortless as her poetic songwriting. Nature teaches the “art of waiting,” and though Ny Oh has spent her adult life exploring various forms of spiritual existence, nature has always been her way of connecting with the depths of the world.

After years of quiet observation and creative exploration, she is now ready to share a body of work that reflects this journey.

Wildwood is a record of jubilant, ever-flowing wonder, with Ny Oh’s vocals soaring atop a tight-knit yet musically expansive full band set up. It is a story that begins in self-discovery, moves through love, and culminates in eagle-flight freedom-a testament to the power of patience, presence, and the profound harmony between artist and nature.

Shine is on all streaming platforms now and Wildwood will be released on 12.11.25.
