Netflix has announced that its beloved makeover series Queer Eye will conclude with its upcoming tenth season, marking the end of an era for the streaming platform’s longest-running unscripted show.

Production is already underway in Washington DC, where the Fab Five - Karamo Brown (culture), Antoni Porowski (food), Tan France (fashion), Jonathan Van Ness (grooming) and Jeremiah Brent (design) - are filming their final transformations. Brent, who joined the cast in season nine, replaced original design expert Bobby Berk following his departure from the show.

The final season is being billed as a celebration of the show’s legacy, which began in 2018 as a reboot of Queer Eye for the Straight Guy. Over the years, the stars of the show have travelled across the United States - and even to Japan - offering heartfelt makeovers and life-changing advice to people from all walks of life.

In a statement, Netflix praised the show’s impact, calling it “a cultural touchstone that has inspired millions to embrace self-love, acceptance, and transformation.” The series has earned 11 Emmy Awards and 37 nominations during its run.

Tan France expressed gratitude to fans on Instagram, writing: “It’s been a long, beautiful journey… thank you for all the love and support for our little show that changed my life.” Van Ness added, “We are so excited to bring this season to you, and excited for what’s next”.

While no official release date has been confirmed, the final season is expected to premiere in late 2025.
