Brighton's very own drag prince Alfie Ordinary is to host Brighton’s Big Drag Pageant: The Snow Ball - the biggest, campest and most glamorous drag event of the year… 

Kings, Queens and everything in between, Brighton’s biggest drag competition returns to Brighton Dome on Friday, 12 December, for another winter spectacular!

With high flying, jaw dropping performances, last year's gala has already gone down in drag history, with infamous judges and a prize pot worth over £1,500! This year’s Snow Ball will be the place to be as an all star cast of drag acts perform live on the prestigious Brighton Dome stage for their chance to take home the crown.

The contestants

Domina Tryx

Domina Tryx, stunning at 74, born in the steel city of Sheffield, and bringing the colour to life when back in the day everything was in black and white. Currently in their 8th decade having first appeared onstage in 1981 in an amateur production of Cabaret.

They have worked on hair and costume design for over 39 years and at 61 decided to venture into front of stage and Domina Tryx was born. Thirteen years later she is here tonight proud and privileged to tread the boards at the Legendary Brighton Dome where ABBA won Eurovision in 1974.

She’s ready for her close-up in full Technicolor - it’s Brighton’s Transsexual Menace, Rococo Chanel! A staple of the scene for 13 years, this trans trailblazer is ready to show you every inch of her talent. It’s time to crown The Doll!

Glew

Pv-Hey it’s the sticky situation, give it up for Glew the Queen, that’s GTQ because she’s stuck on you. She’s sticky, tricky and a little bit sicky! Glew’s definition of drag is fun, if you can’t have that then TUCK OFF! The best piece of advice Glew ever received was: stop, look and go.

This 7-foot queen is a force on the Brighton drag scene! And she is one with the force! They sing, they rap, they dance and they act … a fool. 

Fresh from performing at Glastonbury two years in a row this pageant finalist is ready to bring her R&B bangers to the Brighton Dome stage. 

Alex’s message for the human race is simple

Small Willy Nelson

Small Willy Nelson is a slightly strange man who often seems to have wandered in off the street. He doesn’t know where he’s going, but he’s walking to the beat of his own drum - with a suspicious amount of hip action for someone claiming to be lost. He raises many questions: is he supposed to be here? Who let him in? And why do I feel compelled to take my clothes off?
