A bold new voice in queer pop-reflective, unfiltered and deeply human.
London-based rising queer singer-songwriter BE LIKE MILO has released his emotionally charged debut EP, BROKEN RECORD.
In case you didn't know, alt-pop artist BE LIKE MILO channels raw, real-life experiences into introspective lyrics, transformed through electronic capabilities. His music blends alt-pop with ‘80s synth and techno, influenced by his time in queer raves and clubs.
After playing shows at Camden Assembly and Spice of Life, he is building momentum in the live scene and planning a headline show this October to support his EP release. Already making grounds on EP 2, taking things in a more hyperpop direction, BE LIKE MILO is quickly becoming a standout voice in the alt-pop and queer music space.
Fusing bold synthpop textures with hyperpop energy and techno undercurrents, BROKEN RECORD is a deeply personal depiction of heartbreak, self-discovery, and the frustrations of dating in queer spaces and culture.
Spanning six diverse tracks, the EP dives into a decade’s worth of Milo’s intimate stories-from the euphoric highs to some of the most painful lows.
Broken Record represents a cycle of patterns: the ones we repeat, the ones we try to escape, and the ones that eventually break us. I wrote these songs from a place of reflection and vulnerability. This EP documents my failed attempts to build intimacy at a time when it feels increasingly difficult to form real, long-term connections.
Fans of MUNA, Robyn, and Charli XCX will connect with BROKEN RECORD’s genre-fluid sound and emotionally raw lyrics. Whether pulsing with infectious rave energy or stripped down into quiet synth ballads, BROKEN RECORD introduces Milo as a bold new voice in queer pop-reflective, unfiltered and deeply human.
