Channel 4’s hit reality series Married at First Sight UK is set to return this September with a groundbreaking new season featuring four LGBTQ+ contestants. The show, which matches strangers to marry upon first meeting, will include two same-sex couples - one gay and one lesbian - in what promises to be its most inclusive and diverse series yet.

Premiering on Sunday, 21 September at 9pm on E4 and available to stream on Channel 4, the series will follow nine couples as they navigate the highs and lows of married life, from wedding day jitters to emotional commitment ceremonies. Among the cast are four LGBTQ+ singles who are ready to take the plunge in front of the nation.

Leah
Leigh

Leah, a 35-year-old business owner from Liverpool, discovered her romantic preferences later in life and is now seeking a spontaneous and joyful partner who can fit into her close-knit family. Leigh, 30, from Romford, is a glamorous NHS clinical coder who is recovering from a broken engagement and looking for someone ambitious and confident to match her fiery personality.

Davide
Keye

Davide, 33, originally from Portugal and now working as cabin crew, is a hopeless romantic still healing from a cancelled wedding. He’s hoping to find a kind-hearted man who shares his love of cats. Keye, 33, a marketing manager from London, is on a journey of self-discovery and is searching for a confident and caring partner after years of being single following a previous marriage.

This season builds on the show’s growing legacy of LGBTQ+ representation. In 2022, Married at First Sight UK featured two queer couples, and last year introduced its first trans bride, Ella Morgan. The continued inclusion of diverse love stories reflects Channel 4’s commitment to showcasing modern relationships in all their forms.

Relationship experts Paul C. Brunson, Melanie Schilling and Charlene Douglas will return to guide the couples through the emotional rollercoaster of married life.
