Lush Cosmetics has unveiled a new limited-edition bath bomb inspired by the colours of the trans pride flag, with 75% of profits from its sales going directly to TransHub, a vital resource platform operated by LGBTQ+ health organisation ACON.

Named the Liberation Bath Bomb, the product fizzes into soft hues of blue, pink, and white - the colours of the trans flag - and will be available in Lush stores across Australia and online from 10 September. Retailing at $12 AUD, the bath bomb is both a fundraiser and a visible symbol of allyship with trans and gender diverse communities.

We cannot stand by while misinformation about the trans and gender-diverse community goes unchallenged.

The initiative comes in response to the Queensland Government’s recent decision to pause access to gender-affirming healthcare for new patients under 18, a move that has sparked widespread concern among health professionals and LGBTQIA+ advocates. Critics have labelled the policy change discriminatory and warned of its potential mental health impacts on young trans people.

Jessielee Pearce, Advocacy and Activism Executive at Lush, said the campaign was about challenging harmful narratives and uplifting authentic voices. “We cannot stand by while misinformation about the trans and gender-diverse community goes unchallenged,” Pearce stated. “We are honoured to uplift the essential work of TransHub. Their expertise and advocacy are crucial in creating a safer, more inclusive Australia for all.”

Michael Woodhouse, CEO of ACON, praised the partnership, saying, “With the support of proud allies like Lush, TransHub will be able to keep providing vital information people need to live authentically and thrive. Empowering trans and gender diverse people with knowledge, support, and resources strengthens health and wellbeing, and saves lives.”

This campaign is part of Lush’s broader commitment to trans rights. Earlier this year, the company partnered with trans-led organisations TransActual and My Genderation in the UK, launching a public campaign across all 101 stores featuring vibrant window displays, free educational booklets, and another version of the Liberation Bath Bomb. The campaign also introduced a Gender Affirming Care policy for Lush employees, offering transitioning leave and support throughout their journey
