Local HIV charity Lunch Positive brought together the local community for its annual World AIDS Day Community Lunch at Dorset Gardens Methodist Church in Brighton yesterday, which saw over 120 people share in friendship and solidarity, with loads of wonderful conversations and connections.

Lunch Positive said on social media: "We were able to celebrate with everyone the fantastic contributions of our brilliant volunteers and the positive impact of our work on the lives of people living with HIV. We were able to thank all of our amazing supporters, you are truly amazing, and every penny you raise goes directly to helping people, 52 weeks a year.
"Our motto at Lunch Positive is 'all about community!' and this afternoon was certainly a shining example of that! It was togetherness and supportiveness at its best!
"Sending our love and sincerest thanks to everyone who supports Lunch Positive. You help us make a massive difference, and you help change lives. Thank you."

The Mayor of Brighton & Hove, Councillor Amanda Grimshaw, was in attendance at the event, which is held just before World AIDS Day, which takes place annually on 1 December.
