LGBTQ+ youth charity Allsorts Youth Project to benefit from £28,070 raised from Santa Bus

Brighton & Hove Buses has announced that this year’s Santa Bus has raised £28,070, supporting 12 local charities and organisations including LGBTQ+ youth charity Allsorts Youth Project. This means each charity, including Allsorts, will receive £2,339 to help fund their vital work in the community.

The Santa Bus once again brought festive cheer to neighbourhoods across the city in November and December 2025. With Santa aboard his decorated bus, families lined the streets to wave, celebrate, and donate to important local causes. Since its inception, the Santa Bus initiative has raised over £453,000, and with this year’s total, making it a remarkable £481,070.

Councillor Amanda Grimshaw BEM, Mayor of Brighton & Hove, said: "I’m absolutely delighted that last year’s Santa Bus has raised an incredible £28,070 for local charities, including my Mayor’s Charities. This much‑loved festive tradition not only brings joy to the streets of Brighton & Hove but also makes a real and measurable difference to the organisations supporting our residents every day.

"I was thrilled to join Santa, the charity teams and our wonderful volunteers, and I’m deeply grateful to everyone who donated. Your generosity helps keep our community strong, supported and connected.”

Rupert Cox, Interim Managing Director of Brighton & Hove Buses, added: "We are over the moon with the £28,070 raised through our most recent Santa Bus. It’s a testament to the incredible spirit of our communities and the dedication of everyone involved - from volunteers to families who came out each night to wave and donate.

"The Santa Bus is one of the highlights of our year, and seeing such a fantastic fundraising total makes it even more special. We’re proud to play a part in supporting the brilliant charities who work tirelessly for our city.”
