Lady Gaga dedicates London MAYHEM Ball to queer community

Lady Gaga brought her electrifying MAYHEM Ball tour to London’s O2 Arena this week, delivering not only a theatrical spectacle but a heartfelt dedication to the queer community that has long stood at the heart of her artistry.
Performing to a sold-out crowd of 20,000 fans, Gaga paused mid-show to address the audience directly, waving a Pride flag and declaring: “This show is for every queer soul who’s ever felt unseen. You are the magic, the mayhem, and the masterpiece.”
The moment came during her performance of Born This Way, a song widely regarded as an anthem of LGBTQ+ empowerment. The crowd erupted in cheers, many waving rainbow flags and singing along with tears in their eyes.

Gaga’s London residency - spanning four nights from 29 September to 4 October - marks her first arena tour since 2018. The MAYHEM Ball is a celebration of chaos, identity, and reinvention, themes that resonate deeply with queer audiences. Her latest album MAYHEM, which debuted at number 1 in the UK and the US, explores the fractured beauty of self-discovery and has been praised for its bold, genre-defying sound.
The show itself was a five-act extravaganza, blending gothic visuals, elaborate choreography, and Gaga’s signature theatrical flair. Highlights included a surprise appearance by Wednesday stars Emma Myers and Evie Templeton, who joined Gaga onstage for a live rendition of The Dead Dance, a track she wrote for the Netflix series.
But it was her emotional tribute to the queer community that defined the night. “You never made me feel alone,” Gaga said, her voice cracking with emotion. “You taught me how to be brave, how to be loud, and how to love without apology.”
Fans took to social media to share their reactions, with many calling the concert “life-affirming” and “a spiritual experience.” One attendee tweeted, “Lady Gaga didn’t just perform - she healed.”
