Join HIV/sexual health charity Terrence Higgins Trust (THT) for a 10K Ribbon Walk, starting and finishing at Charles Street Tap, Brighton BN2 1TA on Sunday, April 3, 2022. Registration starts at 11am, with walkers starting in small groups around midday.

THT say: “Walk with us as we unite in the fight against HIV. Together we can show support for people living with HIV, help end transmissions and remember those we have lost.”

The 10km (just over six miles) route will take you along the seafront, through central Brighton and past the AIDS memorial. After your walk, you’re invited to join THT for a well-deserved drink in the Charles Street Tap.

This walk is a totally non-competitive, pressure-free event that people of all abilities take part in. Walk alone or with a group of friends at your own pace.

Entry is £20, which helps cover the cost of putting on the Ribbon Walk.

Once registered, you’ll receive your free THT T-shirt a few weeks before the walk, and ongoing support from the fundraising team.

Scene was founded in Brighton in 1993, at a time when news stories about Pride protests were considered radical.

Since then, Scene has remained proudly independent, building a platform for queer voices. Every subscription helps us to report on the stories that matter to LGBTQ+ people across the UK and beyond.

Your support funds our journalists and contributes to Pride Community Foundation’s grant-making and policy work.
