Now we've had Halloween and Bonfire Night, as Mariah Carey would say: it's tiiiiime! Revry TV’s On Mekahel is making spirits bright and just a little bit naughty with his new holiday EP, A Hoe-y Christmas, out TODAY! (14.11.25). It's officially time to get festive as fuck. A joyful, sexy, and unapologetically queer celebration of the season, the album blends playful originals with re imagined holiday standards, offering a fresh soundtrack for anyone who likes their Christmas with a wink and a smile!

On Mekahel is a pop star, model, actor, CEO of MOUNDERWEAR and reality TV star and has appeared in various commercial ads, movies and TV shows. His latest project though, is A Hoe-y Christmas featuring a mix of cheeky originals and reinvented classics, including Hoe-y Night, Jingle Bells and a soulful, queer twist on Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas. Each track blends On’s trademark humour and heart while celebrating the inclusive, joyful energy that defines his music and message.

Let's dive in head first with a chat with On last night, a few hours before the release!

Hey On! How’s your day going? To kick things off could youintroduce yourself to our readers and share a little about what you do?

Hey Dale! I’m On Mekahel. I’m the guy behind MOUNDERWEAR and all the WHY YOU SO HOT chaos. I create, design, make music, and basically live in the world of fashion and entertainment. I love connecting with people through whatever I’m working on-whether it’s a new collection, a song, or just a wild idea that turns into something cool.

Earlier this year you teamed up with *THE* Todrick Hall on your single The Pill, how did that collab come about?

Honestly, it happened really organically. Todrick and I have known each other for a while, and we’ve always talked about doing something together. Earlier this year the timing finally lined up-I was working on The Pill and I instantly thought that his energy will make this song exactly what I wish for it to be. I sent him the demo and he loved it so within days we were in the studio. Todrick brings such a big, bold vibe to everything he touches, so the collab felt super natural. It was one of those let’s stop talking about it and just DO it moments….and it turned out even better than I imagined. Forever grateful for this man. His heart is as big as his talent.

Your new holiday album A Hoe-y Christmas is so joyful and festive and I love it! What inspired you to create a full Christmas EP then?!

Thank you! Honestly, I’ve always loved the holidays. The music, the energy and the spirit that it brings. I also love how it can also become campy depending on the moment. I felt like there was still room for something a little sassier, sexier and way less serious. I wanted to make a Christmas EP that felt like me: fun, playful, a little inappropriate and full of personality.

For me, Christmas also has a special place in my heart because when my husband and I met, it was at the end of November. The first date he took me on was to a winter Christmas market in Asbury Park (in New Jersey). It was such a cold and gray day at the beach but there was this little Christmas market on the boardwalk that we walked around. A month after meeting, we were together for Christmas (just as he was unable to travel back home for the holidays because he was on house arrest/parole). It was the most magical time in my life. I will never forget this Christmas.

It started as a joke between me and my team-like, imagine a Christmas album but… a little hoe-y. And then I thought, wait….why not?! The world already has enough traditional holiday music, so I wanted to bring something new, something you can laugh to, dance to, and definitely not play in front of your grandma. It turned into this project that’s all about joy, humour and not taking the holidays too seriously-which is exactly what we all need sometimes!

Christmas isn’t celebrated as widely in Israel compared to other places, right? Did that shape your perspective on holiday music at all?

As a kid, I used to travel a lot with my family. We travelled a lot to Europe, the UK, and the US where Christmas was celebrated. I experienced Christmas and loved it every time I was around it and always loved holiday music. It’s very cosy, warm and loving. I love it. I also started a tradition as kid where I would put a Christmas ornament on the table from the Russian market near my city. So among the Hanukkah festivities there was always a glimpse of Christmas provided by yours truly.

Which track from A Hoe-y Christmas is your personal favourite?

Under the Blanket. My husband, Dave, wrote this song. I only gave the name for the song because that’s exactly where I want to be during the holidays with my man, under the blanket. This song is so special to me because I feel like Dave captured one of our winter traditions-every year we go up to our cabin and spend a few days there, just us and our puppies. Enjoying the snow, the fireplace, each other. No work, no people, just the two of us under the blanket.

Can we expect more new music from you in 2026?

Absolutely, so much more is coming. Get ready for me!

How has your queer identity influenced the way you write, perform, and connect with your audience?

My queer identity is central to everything I do as an artist. It shapes the stories I tell, the energy I bring to my music and the way I connect with my audience. Being queer has given me a sense of freedom to explore desire, humour and vulnerability in ways that feel real. It also allows me to celebrate our community.

I write and sing not just for myself, but for people who might see themselves reflected in my work and feel seen, empowered, or inspired. My goal is always to create a space where everyone, regardless of who they are, can feel that sense of joy, sexiness, and authenticity that comes from embracing your true self.

What’s your star sign-and do you feel like it fits you?

Taurus. And absolutely, I am the most stubborn person. Uncompromising most of the time. I know what I want and how I want it!

Looking back, what’s been your favourite age or chapter of life so far?

I love every chapter of my life so far. I feel like every chapter has its magic.
My teens growing up in Israel was everything a boy can ask for. I had everything. I was surrounded by my beautiful family and amazing friends.

My 20's in NYC studying acting, modelling, working for Naomi Campbell, meeting my husband that changed my world for the best. And now in my 30's I am doing so much from running MOUNDERWEAR, singing, living my dream life with my dream husband. I am surrounded by amazing people that I am so thankful to live life with them in the same time. Very thankful for every chapter.

What was the last thing you Googled?

Myself hahaha, my EP is supposed to start dropping around the world in a couple of hours so I am obsessively checking. But right before that, my horoscope, because I wanna know what to expect for tomorrow!

Can you tell us more about MOUNDERWEAR and do you deliver to the UK?

MOUNDERWEAR is all about making every man feel confident, sexy, and comfortable in his own skin. We focus on high-quality fabrics, great cuts, and designs that celebrate the male body-from our underwear and swimwear to socks and accessories. Right now we’re having a big Why You So Hot? moment, because we truly believe every man is hot in his own way, and our brand is here to celebrate that.

And yes, we absolutely deliver to the UK. We ship internationally, and the UK is one of our biggest customer bases, so you can order directly from our website with no problem.

Other than your husband of course, who’s your current crush of the day?!

David Beckham-obsessed with him. He is not only just so hot and beautiful but also such a kind and sweet man. And I love kindness and good people.

And finally, do you have any upcoming shows or UK travel plans we should be watching out for?

No plans so far, but things can change in a matter of minutes! I would love to come visit the UK sooner or later as it has always been one of my favourite places.
