Meet Brooke Greenberg aka Brooke Alexx, the pop star reshaping modern pop with her infectious melodies, sharp wit, and deeply personal lyrics.

The independent AAPI artist has won the hearts of millions highlighted by the viral success of her viral hit single All My Exes’ Moms, which garnered 28 MILLION streams and earned 1st place in the pop category of NBC’s American Song Contest 2023.

Known for her unique blend of humour, vulnerability and bold storytelling, Brooke defies pop clichés, offering fresh takes on love, heartbreak, and self-discovery. With no shortcuts, only raw talent and resilience, she continues to carve her own path.

The release of her refreshing debut album Big Mouth in October 2024 cemented her place as one of pop's most exciting new voices. BBC Radio 1 DJ Maia Beth gave Brooke's latest single Blond its first ever spin last month too on her Future Pop show! Following her first headlining world tour, Brooke is poised to redefine what it means to be a pop star in 2025 and beyond.

For the uninitiated, give us the Brooke Alexx starter pack-who are you and what does your music say about you?

Hi! I’m Brooke Alexx, a pop singer-songwriter based in Nashville. I write songs that are fun, relatable, and sometimes a little too honest. My music’s been called catchy with substance, which I love. It’s playful, but there’s always a deeper message underneath.

Was music your lifelong ambition or did your path into songwriting and singing unfold through an unexpected plot twist?

I told my mom I wanted to be a singer when I was 7, so the dream started early. A few years later, I discovered Taylor Swift, and that completely changed everything. I started writing songs and never looked back!

Your new single Blond is instantly addictive-it’s giving serious 2000s pop fantasy à la BritneyPussycat Dolls. Was that part of your master plan or did it just happen? And what's the story behind Blond?

Thank you!! That was totally the vision. I wanted to make a song that felt like a cheeky Y2K dream. Blond is basically my love letter to blond boys, who were getting way too much hate on social media.

Blonde women have always gotten love, but blond men? Not so much. So I figured… time to even out the score.

Also, is it Blond or Blonde? My inner grammar nerd keeps reaching for that extra "e" and I know it can't just be me (hopefully)!

You’re not alone! Technically “blond” is the masculine version, and since the song’s about guys, I went with that. One thing about me is I am a grammar queen!

If we peeked at your recently played on Spotify right now, who’d be dominating it?

I’ve been obsessing over flowerovlove. I think her songs are pop magic! Also, Alessi Rose and Audrey Hobert who are coming up in a big way right now.

What’s your star sign and do you feel like it fits you?

I’m a Taurus and definitely LOL. I’m very loyal, love comfort and beauty, and I can be very stubborn if I think I’m right (which is always... kidding! kinda).

When it comes to dating, what are a few green flags that tell you someone’s a keeper?

Blond hair, younger than me… just to name a few.

What about red flags?🚩

When they “don’t really like live music”… run.

Back to Blond-the music video looked like an absolute blast. Was filming it as fun as it seemed on screen?

It was even more fun than it looked! I made the video with Jimmy Naples, who’s been my go-to for all my music videos, and we shot it at Jón Alan Salon, which had this perfect all-white, 2000s-sleek vibe-like straight out of a Y2K music video dream.

It really set the tone for the new era. Honestly, it felt like a themed party where everyone had to show up blonde hahaha. The boys were all just friends of mine who agreed to bleach their hair... absolute legends.

If you could collab with any artist in the world, who would be your absolute number one dream collab?

Easy-Taylor Swift. She’s the reason I started songwriting, and I admire how she’s stayed true to herself while evolving so much.

What do you feel most drawn to or inspired by within the LGBTQ+ community?

There’s a boldness and authenticity that I find so inspiring. So much of my music is about self-expression and embracing who you are-and I think the LGBTQ+ community does that so beautifully and fearlessly.

Outside the studio, what brings you joy around Tennessee? I've always wanted to go to Dollywood, have you been?!

Dollywood is still on my bucket list!! But one of my favourite things about living in Nashville is how there’s always something new popping up-whether it’s a cute restaurant or fun date spot. I’m a sucker for novelty, so I love exploring whatever’s fresh and different. The city’s constantly growing, which means there’s never a dull moment!

Usually my finale question is to ask if you’ve got any plans to perform in the UK soon but I already know that you're bringing your Big(ger) Mouth World Tour to the UK next month right?! What can fans expect from the shows?

Yes! It’ll be my first time touring the UK, so I’m pumped! I’ve been dreaming about this for a while, and I can’t wait to finally meet all the fans I’ve been talking to online for so long. Expect high energy, big feelings, ribbons flying, and a full singalong moments. I’m bringing my whole heart.

Oh and have you ever been to the UK before or will this be your first British adventure?

I went to the UK for the first time in 2023 for my debut London show and completely fell in love. I’m so excited to come back and make even more memories with you all!

Blond and Big Mouth are on all streaming platforms now.
