Hayley Williams tells racist and anti-trans fans: ‘Don’t Come to My Shows’
Hayley Williams has made her stance crystal clear ahead of her 2026 solo tour: anyone harbouring racist, sexist or anti-trans views should stay away. The Paramore frontwoman, who recently extended her tour dates due to overwhelming demand, told Clash magazine that her shows are intended to be inclusive spaces - and that means drawing a hard line.
“I don’t want racists around, and I don’t want sexist people around, and I don’t want people there who think that trans people are a burden,” Williams said. “I think that’s a hard line for me now.”
Her message is simple: all are welcome if you believe everyone should be welcome. “If you don’t believe that, you’re not welcome,” she added.
The tour, in support of her latest solo album Ego Death at a Bachelorette Party, kicks off in Atlanta on 28 March before heading across North America and then to the UK and Europe in June, with dates in London, Manchester, Glasgow and Dublin.
Williams has long been outspoken on issues of equality. Last year, she publicly criticised Tennessee’s Republican leadership for what she called “blatant racism” after rejecting an official state honour. She has also addressed sexism in the music industry, admitting she avoided playing guitar on stage for years due to fear of derisive comments.
