Winter Olympian Gus Kenworthy and RuPaul’s Drag Race UK favourite Sally™ have joined the producing team behind Sam Morrison’s solo show Sugar Daddy, ahead of its Off‑West End run in London.

Edgewood Entertainment confirmed that both stars have signed on as co‑producers, joining an already high‑profile roster that includes Alan Cumming and Billy Porter. The expanded team brings together leading LGBTQ+ artists and advocates to support Morrison’s celebrated work as it arrives in the UK.

Gus Kenworthy, who competes for Team GB in the Men’s Freeski Halfpipe on Friday, 20 February, said he felt compelled to get involved after seeing the show. Speaking to TNT Sports, he described Sugar Daddy as “really funny” and “really heartfelt”, adding: “I was just deeply, deeply moved by it and was just like, ‘How can I be involved?’ I have a platform and I would love to help amplify this show.”

Joining him is drag performer and diabetes campaigner Sally™, who shares a Type 1 diabetes diagnosis with Morrison and has become a prominent voice for awareness and community support. Sally™ will appear alongside Morrison at an exclusive press event on Thursday, 19 February at Underbelly Boulevard in Soho, where the pair will discuss the show and their shared experiences navigating chronic illness in the entertainment industry.

The event will also include a video message from co‑producer Alan Cumming, contributions from Morrison and director Amrou Al‑Kadhi, and a live teaser performance from Sugar Daddy, with further press opportunities available on site.

Sugar Daddy chronicles Morrison’s true-life story of queer love, grief and a life-changing diabetes diagnosis. The show traces his relationship with an older partner he affectionately called his “silver zaddy”, and the heartbreak that followed when his partner died during the pandemic. Morrison ultimately channelled his grief into comedy, performing his story to audiences around the world.
