Newsmax host Greg Kelly has sparked controversy with his recent remarks accusing the Disney Channel of "brainwashing" children into identifying as LGBTQ. Speaking on his show, Kelly alleged that Disney executives are deliberately embedding LGBTQ themes into children's programming as part of a wider ideological agenda.

Kelly claimed that Disney is no longer simply producing entertainment, but is instead engaging in "pure indoctrination targeting our most vulnerable citizens." He referenced internal audio from Disney leadership, which he said revealed a desire to increase LGBTQ representation in children's content beyond current levels. According to Kelly, this effort is not about inclusion but about "shoving radical content down the throats of innocent children".

He further criticised Disney employees who protested Florida’s Parental Rights in Education law - often referred to by critics as the "Don’t Say Gay" bill - arguing that their opposition to the legislation was evidence of a broader cultural shift within the company. Kelly suggested that Disney had abandoned its traditional family values and was now more concerned with appeasing "woke activists" than serving American families.

Kelly has repeatedly made headlines for controversial remarks targeting the LGBTQ community, particularly during Pride Month and in discussions about LGBTQ representation in media.

In one segment, Kelly lamented the visibility of LGBTQ Pride celebrations, claiming that heterosexual Americans were being “marginalised” by what he described as “relentless programming” and “out-of-control” Pride Month festivities. He falsely asserted that businesses and individuals were being pressured to display Pride flags or risk social backlash, calling the concept of “pride” itself a “negative thing”.
