Kim Woodburn, the iconic British television personality best known for co-hosting How Clean Is Your House? and appearing on Celebrity Big Brother, has died at the age of 83 following a short illness, her representatives confirmed on Tuesday.
Born in Hampshire, Kim overcame a difficult early life marked by hardship and trauma. She left home at 16 and worked as a live-in cleaner in Liverpool, a job that would eventually lead to her breakout role on Channel 4’s How Clean Is Your House? alongside Aggie MacKenzie.
Nicknamed the “Queen of Clean,” Kim's no-nonsense attitude and sharp wit earned her a devoted fanbase. She later appeared on several reality TV shows, including I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! (2008) and Celebrity Big Brother (2017), where her candid and often confrontational style made her a standout personality.
