The Gay Classic Car Group (GCCG) – the group for LGBTQ+ classic car enthusiasts – enjoyed a bumper year of events last year. Towards the end of 2024, they had a choice of laid-up lunches in 10 local areas including Yorkshire, south east, south west and Essex. The 2024 events calendar kicks off in March with a big stand at the Resto show at the NEC in Birmingham with a great variety of cars and the AGM at Gaydon.

Later in the year, GCCG has the usual crop of overseas trips – Eurotour in Switzerland, Rouen in France at Easter, and two separate French trips in October. Along with the usual car runs and day trips to places of interest, GCCG is lucky to have a couple of special one-off weekend events in Ireland and Wales in September.

GCCG’s 1,000 LGBTQ+ members are as diverse as their cars. The GCCG hosts regular national and international meetings. Members receive a quarterly magazine and monthly email bulletins. Support independent LGBTQ+ journalism

Scene was founded in Brighton in 1993, at a time when news stories about Pride protests were considered radical.

Since then, Scene has remained proudly independent, building a platform for queer voices. Every subscription helps us to report on the stories that matter to LGBTQ+ people across the UK and beyond.

Your support funds our journalists and contributes to Pride Community Foundation’s grant-making and policy work.
