Brighton & Hove Rainbow Run raises over £5,000 for Allsorts Youth Project

This year's Brighton & Hove Rainbow Run, a 5km charity run organised by Brighton & Hove FrontRunners, raised over £5,000 for local LGBTQ+ youth charity, Allsorts Youth Project.
Allsorts Youth Project, a Sussex-based LGBTQ+ youth charity, was chosen as the Rainbow Run's Charity of the Year in July. Established in 1999, the charity supports LGBTQ+ young people, and parents and carers of LGBTQ+ children.
Writing on social media, Rainbow Run said: "This year has been our biggest and best Rainbow Run yet!
"When I co-founded the event four years ago, it was built on the spirit of a local running event - supported by local businesses and giving back to the community. That message still rings true today. Without the incredible support of local businesses, volunteers, and our community, none of this would be possible. Thank you all.
"This year, thanks to you, the Rainbow Run was able to donate:
• £200 to the Sussex Heart Foundation, who kindly lent us their equipment
• £500 to the Brighton Community Fund, supporting charities across the city
• £5,260 to our Charity of the Year, Allsorts Youth Project
"That’s a total of £5,960 raised this year alone!
"Since the Rainbow Run began, we’ve proudly donated £18,240 to local charities across Brighton & Hove.
"A special thank you to the Mayor of Brighton & Hove for hosting us at this amazing event - and to every runner, sponsor, and supporter who made this possible. Here’s to keeping the Rainbow Run growing and giving back year after year!"
