A charity’s Winter Hamper Campaign will deliver warmth, comfort and human connection to those facing the colder months alone.

Together Co, Brighton & Hove’s leading loneliness and social health charity, will provide 250 bespoke hampers to the people it supports across the city who are experiencing loneliness or isolation with help from volunteers.

This year’s campaign marks a significant expansion from 2024, when 77 hampers were distributed thanks to an overwhelming show of community spirit.

The campaign kicks off on Monday, 24 November at the Leonardo Hotel on Brighton seafront, where volunteers, including Councillor Amanda Grimshaw, the Mayor of Brighton & Hove, and businesses from across the city will gather some of their staff to assemble, pack, and wrap all 250 hampers.

On Tuesday, 25 November, volunteers will head out in pairs to deliver the hampers to people we support across the city. Each team will make around ten stops, and where possible, make time for a friendly chat, turning a simple delivery into a meaningful moment of human connection.

The campaign has also received generous backing from our headline sponsor Webtrends Optimize, and co-sponsors DMH Stallard, Extech Cloud, Moda and Legal & General. Hyde Housing has also provided financial support through a match-funding scheme.

Each hamper is carefully curated to bring comfort, care and festive cheer. Items include non-slip socks, books, puzzles, nourishing food items, tea towels and festive tea.

Every package also includes a personalised card designed and donated by Lawton and Dawe Properties

April Baker, Together Co CEO, said: “This campaign is about more than just giving gifts, it’s about reminding people that they are seen, valued, and part of our community.

“Human connection is one of the most powerful tools we have to build health and resilience. Every hamper delivered is a message of care and a symbol of what Brighton & Hove can achieve when we come together.”
