The Brighton Box, one of Brighton’s leading art galleries located in Duke’s Lane, will be hosting a rare ‘meet the artist’ event in aid of the Sussex Beacon at Affinity Bar in Kemptown on Thursday, September 23 from 6pm.
Renowned artist Sid Spencer (or Fat Pigeon Art, as many know him) will be chatting with an adoring crowd and showing some of his work, ahead of a cabaret show by drag performer Lovinia Belle. During the evening, Sid will present a cheque worth hundreds of pounds to Bill Puddicombe, executive director of the Sussex Beacon, with part proceeds of every artwork sold by four different artists being donated to the charity.
Bill Puddicombe said: “We are enormously grateful to The Brighton Box and its feature artists, for generously donating a portion of their artwork sales to the Sussex Beacon.
“These funds will assist with our essential work with people living with HIV. We very much look forward to a successful Meet The Artist evening, and exciting events in the future.”

An extra touch is that Affinity will be donating funds to the Sussex Beacon via the sale of a Sussex Beacon Espresso Martini.
Booking for the event is recommended via social media or The Brighton Box e-mail: charwood92@hotmail.com
