As summer hits its stride, Brighton is gearing up to welcome one of the city's most beloved LGBTQ+ events: Brighton Bear Weekend 2025. Running from Thursday, 10 July - Sunday, 13 July, this four-day celebration promises a joyful mix of parties, performances, and community spirit - all in support of local LGBTQ+ charities.

Whether you're a bear, cub, otter, or ally, BBW 2025 offers something for everyone. 

Full Event Line-Up

Thursday, 10 July

  • Quiz Night @ Nautilus Lounge (7:30pm – Close)
    Kick off the weekend with a classic pub quiz featuring multiple cash prizes. Teams of up to six, £2 entry per person. Expect cheeky questions and a lively crowd.

Friday, 11 July

  • Welcome Party & Brighton Bear Contest @ Dorset Gardens (5pm – 10pm)
    Hosted in the BBW Marquee, this free outdoor event features food by Lunch Positive, a BBW bar, and the fabulous Mr Brighton Bear Contest hosted by Lola and Dave the Bear. Wristband holders get discounts on food and drink. Vote NOW or on the day.
  • UpRoar Club Night @ DUST (10pm – Late)
    A high-energy club night with DJs Bozzy Bear and Rob C. Meet the contest contenders and dance into the early hours.

Saturday, 12 July

  • The Garden Party @ Dorset Gardens (12pm – 7pm)
    The heart of the weekend! Enjoy live entertainment, community stalls, food, and drinks in the sunshine. The winner of the Brighton Bear Contest will be announced here.
  • Pre-BeefMince Warm-Up @ Fallen Angel (7pm onwards)
    A cheeky pre-party to get you in the mood for the main club night.

Sunday, 13 July

  • Sunday Lunch @ The Kemp (12pm – 4pm)
    A relaxed roast to round off the weekend. Booking is advised.
  • Underbears @ Nautilus Lounge (6pm – 11pm)
    The infamous closing party—an underwear-only event for those who dare. Doors close at 7pm, so don’t be late!

Brighton Bear Weekend is a major fundraiser for local LGBTQ+ causes. This year’s proceeds will benefit local HIV charities, The Sussex Beacon and Lunch Positive.
