Brandi Carlile’s Looking Out Foundation expands global LGBTQ+ support through new Procter & Gamble partnership

Brandi Carlile’s Looking Out Foundation (LOF) is set to deepen its international impact on LGBTQ+ communities through a new long‑term partnership with Procter & Gamble, announced this week. Founded by Carlile more than two decades ago, the foundation has built its reputation on amplifying the power of music to drive humanitarian change - awarding grants, empowering grassroots initiatives and forging strategic collaborations that uplift marginalised communities.

The partnership aligns LOF’s activist‑driven mission with P&G’s three decades of engagement in LGBTQ+ inclusion, allowing the foundation to extend its reach and support a wider network of organisations delivering essential, life‑affirming services. Through this collaboration, LOF will bolster groups such as CenterLink, GLAAD, Outright International, SAGE and The Trevor Project, each addressing different but interconnected needs across the LGBTQ+ community - from crisis intervention and suicide‑prevention for young people, to global advocacy and support for older LGBTQ+ adults.

While LOF has long been known for channelling the emotional force of Carlile’s music into community action, the new partnership offers sustained, predictable funding that will enable LGBTQ+ organisations to plan strategically and scale their work. P&G highlighted that this stability is crucial for groups responding to rapidly evolving challenges facing LGBTQ+ people worldwide.

This collaboration also builds on Carlile’s previous work with P&G through Can’t Cancel Pride, the annual fundraising initiative created during the pandemic to support LGBTQ+ nonprofits at a time when many Pride events were cancelled globally. LOF’s involvement in this effort helped raise visibility and vital funds for frontline organisations, reinforcing the foundation’s reputation as a catalyst for meaningful, community‑centred action.

Most recently, the partnership was spotlighted at Carlile’s Girls Just Wanna Weekend, an annual music‑centred gathering designed as an affirming space where women and LGBTQ+ people can show up authentically and build community.

P&G’s Senior Director of Global LGBTQ Engagement, Brent Miller, praised the collaboration as a powerful alignment of values, saying the partnership is about creating lasting impact rather than mere visibility.

“Working with Brandi and the Looking Out Foundation reinforces the power of partnership rooted in shared values,” they said. “Together, we’re uplifting organisations that are meeting the critical needs of LGBTQ+ communities. This collaboration is about more than just visibility – it’s about creating lasting impact for the LGBTQ+ community while helping build a more equal and inclusive world for everyone.”
