Beloved drag performer and cultural icon Bob The Drag Queen is set to make her long-awaited Broadway debut in the Tony Award-winning musical Moulin Rouge! at New York’s Al Hirschfeld Theatre. Bob will take on the flamboyant role of Harold Zidler for an eight-week limited engagement running from 27 January - 22 March 2026.

Best known for winning season 8 of RuPaul’s Drag Race, Bob has since built a multifaceted career as a comedian, actor, activist, and author. Her credits include co-hosting HBO’s We’re Here, touring globally with Madonna’s Celebration Tour, and releasing the New York Times best-selling novel Harriet Tubman: Live In Concert.

Speaking about the milestone, Bob shared: “Being on Broadway has always been a dream of mine. I moved to NYC almost 17 years ago to pursue it. Some roads take a while.”

Bob will follow in the footsteps of Wayne Brady, who currently plays Zidler until 9 November, and Robert Petkoff, who will take over from 11 November to 25 January 2026.

Moulin Rouge! The Musical, based on Baz Luhrmann’s 2001 film, is directed by Alex Timbers with a book by John Logan and choreography by Sonya Tayeh. The show has captivated audiences worldwide and won ten Tony Awards in 2021, including Best Musical.
