Big Brother UK housemate George removed from Big Brother House over "unacceptable language and behaviour"

George Gilbert, a contestant on Big Brother UK 2025, has been removed from the Big Brother House following repeated instances of "unacceptable language and behaviour", ITV has confirmed.
The 23-year-old parish councillor from Essex, who also has acting credits in Downton Abbey, The Essex Serpent and Heartstopper, was ejected after a series of incidents that breached the show’s code of conduct. Despite receiving multiple warnings throughout the series, George’s behaviour culminated in a formal removal from the programme.
The tipping point came during a game of Truth or Dare, where George mocked fellow housemate Sam Ashby, a Zumba instructor and LGBTQ+ rights activist. George imitated Sam’s speech and gestures, including limp wrist movements, which Sam described as reminiscent of the homophobic abuse he endured during his school years.
Following the incident, George was called into the Diary Room and issued a verbal warning. He claimed to have apologised to Sam and said he would be “walking on eggshells” around him going forward. However, producers deemed his behaviour unacceptable and ultimately removed him from the house.
An ITV spokesperson stated: “Following repeated use of unacceptable language and behaviour, George has been removed from the Big Brother House with immediate effect and will no longer participate in the programme.”
Although George will appear in tonight’s episode, his comments will not be aired due to broadcasting standards. His removal follows a week of controversy, including remarks about homelessness and political views that unsettled fellow housemates.
George’s exit comes just days after another contestant, Caroline Monk, received a formal warning for misgendering trans housemate Zelah Glasson.
The show continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2, with Friday’s eviction still set to go ahead.
