Bears at The Bully raises £144 for Sussex Beacon and Brighton Rainbow Fund

Bears at The Bully, a new monthly men-only night organised by the boys from Brighton Bear Weekend at The Bulldog, raised £144 to be split between the Sussex Beacon and the Brighton Rainbow Fund in April.

Organisers said: “Our sincere thanks go out to everyone who attended Bears at The Bully, Lee Cockshott, the bar staff, Scott from the Sussex Beacon, and everyone else who helped make the event possible.

“We would not have been able to accomplish this without your presence and support. The event was a resounding success, and we are overwhelmed by everyone’s generosity.”

The next Bears at The Bully takes place on May 6. Click HERE for more info!

Support independent LGBTQ+ journalism

Scene was founded in Brighton in 1993, at a time when news stories about Pride protests were considered radical.

Since then, Scene has remained proudly independent, building a platform for queer voices. Every subscription helps us to report on the stories that matter to LGBTQ+ people across the UK and beyond.

Your support funds our journalists and contributes to Pride Community Foundation’s grant-making and policy work.
