Government rejects compulsory sex education in schools
The Government has rejected calls for mandatory sex education in schools to be made compulsory from the government’s chief medical officer, three cross-party committees of MPs and the children’s commissioner.
New smarter communal bins for the city
Work is underway to refurbish old and damaged communal bins in the city. More than 50 bins have now been refurbished or replaced, most of them in the city centre Regency and St Peters North Laine wards. More bins have been delivered this week and being rolled out in the two wards.
