For one night only, on Saturday, 26 July, the fabulous boys of the Brighton Gay Men's Chorus (BrightonGMC) will take to the stage at the brand-new Cairns Theatre with international friends the Barcelona Gay Men’s Chorus, Dublin Gay Men’s Chorus and Philhomoniker Schwuler Chor München.
This dazzling collaboration is part of BrightonGMC’s 20th birthday celebrations, marking two decades of their work promoting LGBTQ+ acceptance through song. The show forms the centrepiece of a cultural exchange weekend between the four choruses, celebrating international LGBTQ+ community and connection through music.

Dan Langasco, chairman of BrightonGMC, said: “We’re absolutely thrilled to be welcoming our friends from Dublin, Barcelona, and Munich to Brighton for this truly international celebration. Sharing the stage with these incredible choruses is an honour, and we can’t wait to showcase the power of music to bring people together across borders.
"Performing on the brand-new, stage at the Cairns Theatre, a building decorated as one of the top five most beautiful in world according to the Guardian last year, makes this event even more special"

“We are thrilled to be travelling to Brighton to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Brighton Gay Men’s Chorus (BrightonGMC),” said Patrick McNamara, Chairperson of Dublin Gay Men’s Chorus (DGMC). “BrightonGMC is certainly marking the occasion in style, inviting some of the top choirs in Europe, and we are honoured to be among them.
"Our friendship with BrightonGMC has grown over the years through our participation in LGBTQ+ choral festivals — Various Voices and more recently, Hand in Hand, Bristol. This milestone offers a wonderful opportunity to deepen our connection with this exceptional choir and celebrate their enormous contribution to LGBT+ choral music over the last 20 years. It will also allow us to build connections with two other brilliant choirs, Barcelona Gay Men's Chorus and Philhomoniker Schwuler Chor München."

Audiences can expect an eclectic and electric repertoire, from Bowie to Beyonce, with powerful vocals, uplifting anthems, and stunning choreography sure to kickstart Pride celebrations. This event also marks the first public performance at the new Cairns Theatre, situated on the historic grounds of Brighton College.
Brighton College said of the celebration: “We are delighted to be welcoming the Brighton Gay Men's Chorus to perform in our wonderful Cairns Theatre as part of the fabulous Euro Party. We look forward to a fun night with some amazing singing, and congratulate the Chorus on their 20th anniversary.”
