Winter funding for community & voluntary orgs
Covid

A new grant is available from Brighton & Hove Council this winter for organisations that support vulnerable people. If you can provide support quickly, you can apply for up to £5,000.

The funding is for people experiencing or at risk of poverty during the Covid-19 pandemic and the first deadline for applications is midnight on Wednesday 13 January 2021.

The funding can be used for such support as:

  • food
  • help with cooking
  • heating, including oil and portable gas cylinders
  • clothes and bedding
  • other essentials that are related to food, heating, lighting, cooking, water and toiletries

The grant is not for getting general advice about debt, finances, or for housing costs.

Please see the website  for full details and information on how to apply.

Support independent LGBTQ+ journalism

Scene was founded in Brighton in 1993, at a time when news stories about Pride protests were considered radical.

Since then, Scene has remained proudly independent, building a platform for queer voices. Every subscription helps us to report on the stories that matter to LGBTQ+ people across the UK and beyond.

Your support funds our journalists and contributes to Pride Community Foundation’s grant-making and policy work.
