Dr. Sam Hall explains why Pride Matters to the Clare Project

“Pride is an important feature in the lives of the LGBT community, and provides a space for trans groups such as Clare Project to raise our profile as well as encouraging trans people to be out and proud alongside our LGB brothers and sisters.
“Clare Project is a grateful recipient of a grant from the Rainbow Fund which primarily raises money from Pride. The Clare Project is a hub of community support for Trans people in Brighton providing a confidential and safe space to explore issues surrounding gender identity. We also provide psychotherapy and speech therapy support.”

Support independent LGBTQ+ journalism
Scene was founded in Brighton in 1993, at a time when news stories about Pride protests were considered radical. Since then, Scene has remained proudly independent, building a platform for queer voices. Every subscription helps us to report on the stories that matter to LGBTQ+ people across the UK and beyond.
Your support funds our journalists and contributes to Pride Community Foundation’s grant-making and policy work.
