What will you do for the 2.6 Challenge to help MindOut?

Sunday 26 April was due to see the London Marathon take place. However, instead of thousands of runners making their way through the capital, the streets were mainly deserted. The annual event raises thousands of pounds for charities every year, including MindOut.
To ensure funds are still raised, the 2.6 challenge has been launched by the London Marathon events team. There are many ways you can help raise some cash and it doesn’t mean your daily exercise is a 26-mile run.
It could be anything at all, from watching 26 LGBT-themed movies (or three and switch the last one off before it’s finished). You could walk around the garden 26 times while wearing high heels and juggling or make 26 pancakes for breakfast.
Looking after our mental health at this difficult time isn’t an easy task and MindOut has extended its online support service. Just be as creative as you can and raise as much money as possible for MindOut.

Support independent LGBTQ+ journalism
Scene was founded in Brighton in 1993, at a time when news stories about Pride protests were considered radical. Since then, Scene has remained proudly independent, building a platform for queer voices. Every subscription helps us to report on the stories that matter to LGBTQ+ people across the UK and beyond.
Your support funds our journalists and contributes to Pride Community Foundation’s grant-making and policy work.
