Rainbow Amex flies the flag

American Express one of the city’s largest employers installs giant Rainbow flag at its John Street, Brighton office, ahead of this weekend’s Brighton & Hove Pride.

THIS year marks five years of Amex support of Brighton Pride and the tenth year of Amex colleague participation in the Community Pride Parade.

Themed Colour my World, Brighton Pride 2018 is expected to be the most colourful yet, in celebration of the original eight colour Rainbow flag created 40 years ago.

More than 100 Amex colleagues, including many from the company’s Pride UK Colleague Network, will join the Parade on Saturday, sporting ‘Proud to celebrate diversity’ T-shirts and many more will be lining the route with family members and friends.

Scene was founded in Brighton in 1993, at a time when news stories about Pride protests were considered radical.

Since then, Scene has remained proudly independent, building a platform for queer voices. Every subscription helps us to report on the stories that matter to LGBTQ+ people across the UK and beyond.

Your support funds our journalists and contributes to Pride Community Foundation’s grant-making and policy work.
