PREVIEW: Hullabaloo Quire are 20!

Hullabaloo Quire, one of Brighton’s longest established community choirs, will celebrate its 20th anniversary on Friday, December 7 and Saturday, December 8.

THEY will be taking over Sallis Benney Theatre in Brighton for a glittering concert with guests, a singing workshop with the Natural Voice Network and a ceilidh with Brighton Ceilidh Collective.

On Friday, December 7 from 7pm, Hullabaloo will invite past collaborators to join in with the birthday revelry, including Qukulele – the singing, rapping, kazoo playing, ukulele band, plus Robb Johnson, The Galleons, Roy Hutchins, and Michael James Parker. There will also be special virtual guest appearances from 3 Bucket Jones and Lucy Ward.

The celebrations continue on Saturday, December 8 with Su Hart, Ali Burns and Hullabaloo’s MD Kirsty Martin hosting a special singing workshop with the composers’ original songs from 10am. No singing experience, or ability to read music is necessary to join the workshop.

Stick around for the Brighton Ceilidh Collective who will then round off the celebrations with a healthy mix of music from Scotland, England, Ireland and Wales as well as tunes from much further afield from 7pm!

Tickets: £7–£35 with ticket bundles available and concession prices.
