First solo exhibition from Brighton-based lesbian artist Louise Searle, offers an exciting opportunity to view a remarkable body of work, specifically drawn together for the Brighton Fringe.

Chance observations, from the ordinary to the extraordinary, form her source material and inspiration.
Louise captures these moments in time through photography, before reinventing them in her visually arresting paintings – which represent subjects as diverse as Antigua and the Austrian Alps, to ancient woodland and fairground life – in an unexpected and atmospheric way.
Light and colour are recurring themes in this collection of work, which shapes what promises to be a unmissable exhibition.
Louise has lived in Brighton for 20 years, and has been practising as an oil painter since 2012.
