Pop artist Rhian! drops sexy and high-energy dance single, Up & Down
(well, tomorrow actually).
Trinidad born artist Rhian! is back with his first release of 2026. Up & Down is the shot of adrenaline every party needs and was written and produced by Rhian! himself and music producer, composer, arranger, DJ, organist, pianist and noise maker Massimo Braghieri, recorded at Intonoise Studio in London.
Rhian! debuted the track with a live performance at his Fierce & Fabulous show last November at West End's iconic Phoenix Arts Club with the audience reaction indicating to him that it had to be his next single. Rhian! is bringing back his Fierce & Fabulous show in April too.

Back to Up & Down though, it launches straight into an ear worm hook that’s impossible not to sing along to. Driven by a hot and heavy bassline and punchy percussion, the track pairs perfectly with Rhian!’s vocals to create a carefree, euphoric atmosphere and honestly makes you wanna go out out.
It’s the kind of song that invites you to let loose, embrace the chaos and just be yourself. Lyrically, it taps into the dizzying rush of an on again, off again lover and the urge to break free. Speaking about the single, Rhian! said: “The song is about an indecisive lover who keeps messing you around. It started off quite minimal, almost like a tech-house track, but Massimo said it reminded him of Dead or Alive, which really inspired me. I went on a mission to find synth sounds from 80s dance records and the production took a completely new direction, one I’m so happy with.”
In case you didn't know, Rhian! was born on the sunny Caribbean Island of Trinidad and started singing in church at the tender age of 4 where his father was the preacher. It wasn't easy growing up with the pressure of concealing his sexuality in a religious home and society.
He won two silver medals at the World Championships Of Performing Arts in California, performed 12 sold out shows at The Pearl Theatre in Shanghai, China and released his delicious debut single I Need Your Love allll the way back in 2022.
Since then he has racked up over 100,000 Spotify streams and has appeared in the top 10 on multiple iTunes charts around the world. He has been interviewed by BBC Radio several times and his music has been featured on BBC Introducing, Pride Radio, Gaydio and numerous online blogs and publications including Scene of course!
Up & Down is out tomorrow on all streaming platforms. The latest release from the UK based artist pulls no punches, sitting confidently at the intersection of dance and electro pop and it's his best yet!
