GEMS, the Gay Elderly Men’s Society got Christmas off to a cracking start last night, (December 9), at their annual Christmas party. More than 60 members attended the dinner where they were treated to a fine three course meal prepared and served by students from the City Catering College (CCC).

More than 60 members attended the dinner were they were treated to a fine three course dinner prepared and served by students from the City Catering College (CCC).

The dinner took place in the Gallery Restaurant in Pelham Street, Brighton, which is used by CCC to train students getting ready for a career in the catering industry.

The Deputy Mayor of Brighton and Hove Cllr Pete West attended with his wife and thanked the GEMS organisers for the sterling work they were doing supporting older gay men in the city.
