OnlyFans owner Leonid Radvinsky dies of cancer aged 43
Leonid Radvinsky, the billionaire owner of adult content platform OnlyFans, has died following a long battle with cancer. He was 43.
OnlyFans released a statement saying: "We are deeply saddened to announce the death of Leo Radvinsky. Leo passed away peacefully after a long battle with cancer. His family have requested privacy at this difficult time."
Born in Ukraine and based in Florida, Radvinsky acquired a 75% stake in OnlyFans' parent company Fenix International Ltd. in 2018 from its British founders Tim Stokely and his father Guy Stokely. Under his ownership, the platform became increasingly associated with adult content and grew into one of the most commercially significant creator platforms in the world. OnlyFans recorded over £1 billion in net revenue in 2024, taking a 20% commission on most creator earnings, and had been valued at around €4.7 billion in early-stage sale talks earlier this year.
OnlyFans, originally founded in 2016 by British entrepreneur Tim Stokely, surged in popularity during the Covid-19 pandemic as lockdowns drove creators and consumers online, turning the subscription-based platform into a mainstream source of income for many. It has been a particularly significant space for LGBTQ+ creators, offering direct monetisation outside of traditional media gatekeepers.
Radvinsky was also a philanthropist, donating $5 million to Ukraine relief in 2022, and supporting a cancer charity, an animal welfare organisation and a skin disorder research fund. In 2024, he and his wife were major supporters of a $23 million grant programme for cancer research.
He is mourned by his family, who have asked for privacy.
