If you go into any of their stores across the country on December 18, there will be a raffle with a £50 Christmas Hamper prize on offer. All their staff will not only be decked out in their best Christmas jumpers, they will be texting £2 to TEXT SANTA to help raise money for three charities: Macmillan Cancer Support, Make-A-Wish® UK and Save the Children.

Nicola May, who works in the Liverpool store, said: “I’ve already been and bought my jumper!! I’m keeping what it is a secret until the day, but even if I had to make one from scratch myself there’s no way I wouldn’t be taking part.”

Support independent LGBTQ+ journalism

Scene was founded in Brighton in 1993, at a time when news stories about Pride protests were considered radical.

Since then, Scene has remained proudly independent, building a platform for queer voices. Every subscription helps us to report on the stories that matter to LGBTQ+ people across the UK and beyond.

Your support funds our journalists and contributes to Pride Community Foundation’s grant-making and policy work.
