The summer public meeting of the Brighton and Hove LGBT Community Safety Forum takes place this evening (July 12) at Dorset Gardens Methodist Church in Kemptown.
Have you been affected by bullying or harrassment online or at work, school, university, at home or in public. Do you want to know more about how the Brighton Pride event work especially with regard to safety and access?
Detective Constable, Graham Lewendon, from Surrey & Sussex Police, Cyber Crime Unit, Specialist Crime Command is coming to talk about safety and harassment while online and how to identify if it happens to you or someone you know. He will also explain the processes of reporting cyber crime/abuse and bullying to the police.
Becky Stevens, Head of Operations for Brighton Pride CIC will talk about the structure of Pride and how it works including how safety fits into its priorities.
The new Sussex Police commander for Brighton & Hove, Chief Superintendent Lisa Bell will also be introducing herself during the meeting.
