Govt must live up to Truss’s commitment to ban conversion therapy
Responding to a letter from Liz Truss in which she says she “will shortly be bringing forward proposals to end conversion therapy”, Liberal Democrat Equalities Spokesperson Christine Jardine said:
“This is welcome news for the many of us who have been fighting for years to ban conversion therapy.
“But we will be keeping up the pressure until we see exactly what these promises mean in reality.
“I look forward to scrutinising the Government’s proposals to make sure they properly protect the rights of all LGBT+ people.”
