Identical twin sister duo Dolder are gearing up for their debut EP next month, but first they’ve dropped their stunning second single Girl I Know. It’s a beautifully pared down track that lets their vocals shine and their heartfelt songwriting take centre stage. With harmonies that feel both fragile and powerful, it’s another step in their journey as alt‑pop storytellers.

Written in the wake of heartbreak, Girl I Know feels like a tender coming of age diary-an intimate, relatable look at learning, healing, and finding yourself again.

Talking about the song, Dani Dolder shares: “It’s about that moment when you start blaming yourself for someone else’s bad behavior-replaying everything you said or did, wondering where it all went wrong. I got ghosted and thought it was all my fault. But then comes the bridge, that little spark of hope, the I’m going to be fine moment. You realise it wasn’t you, you’ll move on, grow, and be better off… while some guys just keep repeating the same cycle of love‑bombing and leaving. Let them.”

If growing up together creates a special kind of musical chemistry-sharing experiences, discovering tastes side by side and learning to truly listen to one another-then Dani and Zara Dolder take that connection to another level entirely.

As identical twins, they’ve literally been together since before birth and now they’re channeling that lifelong bond into their debut release. Their childhood was steeped in timeless melodies, with The Beatles, Eagles, Steely Dan and Glen Campbell spinning endlessly on their drummer dad’s jukebox.

At 21, they’re still head over heels for those classic bands, but they’ve also fallen in love with modern female storytellers like HAIM, Taylor Swift, Gracie Abrams, boygenius and Lola Young. It’s in the sweet spot between those influences-nostalgic and fresh, timeless and current that Dolder’s musically gorgeous, emotionally generous debut finds its voice.

Fresh off a UK tour supporting Ben Ellis, where they played to packed rooms at The Garage in London and The Academy in Manchester, the twins are gearing up to announce more live dates very soon.
