The event was held on March 14-16 at the Brighton Hilton Metropole, where governments from around the world first gathered in 1982 to suspend international whaling.
WhaleFest is the world’s biggest celebration of wild whales and dolphins, and was attended by thousands of activists.
Mike met with campaigners from the International Fund for Wild Animals (IFAW), to discuss what they are doing to protect whales and is pictured signing a pledge for the IFAW against the serving of whale meat in Iceland’s restaurants.
Mike said: “Whales are an incredibly beautiful species that need special protection right across the planet. It was an eye-opening experience attending WhaleFest and nice to see so many dedicated activists championing their cause. I was delighted to back IFAW’s campaign against serving whale meat in Iceland’s restaurants.”
