Brighton & Hove Green Party to fundraise for Brighton Women’s Centre
Brighton & Hove Green Party to host a virtual pub quiz on Wednesday, July 29 from 7.30pm with 50% of money raised going to the Brighton Women’s Centre

Brighton & Hove Green Party will be hosting a virtual pub quiz on Wednesday, July 29 from 7.30pm with 50% of money raised going to the Brighton Women’s Centre, which has been supporting self-identifying women in Sussex for over 40 years, helping them live happier and more fulfilling lives.
The Brighton Women’s Centre helps women from all backgrounds, facing all kinds of issues, including bereavement or trauma, homelessness, the criminal justice system, abuse or discrimination.
Here’s some testimonial from a service-user: ‘The food bank enables me not to have to worry so much about bills; which has reduced stress, worry and improved my health. Everyone (staff and service users) are friendly and attentive to needs. It’s a very welcoming and non-judgemental place.’
The centre prioritises respect, understanding and compassion through providing advice and support on accommodation, holistic therapy and well-being projects.

Support independent LGBTQ+ journalism
Scene was founded in Brighton in 1993, at a time when news stories about Pride protests were considered radical. Since then, Scene has remained proudly independent, building a platform for queer voices. Every subscription helps us to report on the stories that matter to LGBTQ+ people across the UK and beyond.
Your support funds our journalists and contributes to Pride Community Foundation’s grant-making and policy work.
