Brighton Gay Men’s Chorus is appearing at the Ladyboys of Bangkok’s Sabai Pavilion this Sunday, May 12 after selling out the Brighthelm Centre last Saturday in the opening weekend of the Brighton Fringe Festival.
Brighton Gay Men’s Chorus: Douze Points! will have a special reprise performance at the Ladyboys Pavilion venue in conjunction with Pride at the Fringe.
Pete Boon, a Trustee for the Chorus, said:
“We are delighted to be supporting Pride’s Fringe season by bringing ‘Brighton Gay Men’s Chorus: Douze Points!’ to the Ladyboys’ Pavillion. We can’t wait to appear in such a fabulous and iconic venue, and it will hopefully be the perfect setting for our Eurovision inspired show.”
The show has already hit the headlines after receiving public endorsements from former Eurovision stars Andy Abraham, Nicki French and Sonia. More locally, the Chorus received high praise from Councillor Bill Randall, Mayor of Brighton and Hove, at last Friday’s performance.
Speaking to the audience following their standing ovation, he said:
“Long may they continue to make a joyful noise!”
Brighton Gay Men’s Chorus: Douze Points! imagines what would happen if Brighton decided to stage it’s own alternative to the Eurovision Song Contest.
