Brighton Bear Weekend raises £6,000 for the Brighton Rainbow Fund
Helped by some lovely weather and excellent attendance, BBW 2022 had its most successful weekend ever which provided an excellent opportunity to maximise their fundraising efforts.
This year’s Brighton Bear Weekend (BBW) was the most successful weekend on record, raising £6,000 for the Brighton Rainbow Fund.
Helped by some lovely weather and excellent attendance, BBW 2022 had its most successful weekend ever which provided an excellent opportunity to maximise their fundraising efforts. After holding a small reserve for next year’s event, BBW was able to offer a donation of £6,000 to their chosen charity, the Brighton Rainbow Fund.
Graham Munday, Chair of BBW, said: “BBW is primarily aimed at providing a series of events aimed at the LGBTQ+ bear community, but fundraising is also high on our agenda. We’re therefore delighted that we can donate such a large amount towards the Brighton Rainbow Fund’s grant giving activities.”
The Brighton Rainbow Fund is the central hub for fundraising within the Brighton & Hove LGBTQ+ communities, and distributes grants to local projects which benefit, and make a difference, to the lives of hundreds of individuals within those communities
Chris Gull, Chair of the Brighton Rainbow Fund, added: “BBW has been a consistently strong supporter of the Fund, and I and the various community groups that we support are extremely grateful for the efforts of all BBW volunteers in making this happen.”
