The annual Brighton Bear Christmas Quiz organised by Brighton Bear Weekend at the Camelford Arms raises £278.73 for Rainbow Fund.
The Camelford was so busy for the annual quiz people were perched on the bar and sat in the Moroccan garden out the back to play. This year £278.73 was raised for The Rainbow Fund who give grants to local LGBT/HIV community groups who deliver effective frontline services to LGBT+ people in the city. The money raised from the quiz and the raffle was boosted by a personal donation by Alistair Mackinnon-Musson, the owner of the Camelford of £50. The winning team just missed out on the £300 cash prize, but everybody went home with chocolate bars from the night.

Support independent LGBTQ+ journalism
Scene was founded in Brighton in 1993, at a time when news stories about Pride protests were considered radical. Since then, Scene has remained proudly independent, building a platform for queer voices. Every subscription helps us to report on the stories that matter to LGBTQ+ people across the UK and beyond.
Your support funds our journalists and contributes to Pride Community Foundation’s grant-making and policy work.
