Bobby Newberry, the acclaimed choreographer-turned-singer, makes a heartfelt return with his most intimate release yet-Feelin’. The radiant new single is a tribute to his late husband, TJ, who passed away following a battle with cancer. Co-produced with Theory and penned by Bobby himself, the track channels the vibrant, joyful energy that defined their love, offering a celebration of connection, resilience, and the light that remains.

Bobby Newberry’s journey in the entertainment world began behind the scenes, choreographing for global icons like Eminem, Nicki Minaj, The Pussycat Dolls, Missy Elliott and Lil’ Wayne, as well as hit shows Dancing with the Stars and X-Factor. In 2014, he stepped into the spotlight as a recording artist with his debut single Dirrty Up (featuring Jessie and The Toy Boys), followed by his breakout EP The Newberry Special.

Fast forward to 2023, Bobby’s debut album Dopamine Rollercoaster firmly established him as a dynamic force in pop music, packed with electrifying, dance-floor-ready anthems. Now, with Feelin’, he reveals a more vulnerable side, offering a track that glows with tenderness, nostalgia, and emotional depth.

“I wrote this song when TJ and I were in Capri on my favourite trip we ever took together,” Bobby shares. “The opening line says, you feel like Capri summer and breezy. It’s about that childlike, carefree happiness you get when you’re with someone who brings out the best in you. For me, it was about us-but I think everyone can relate to it, whether it’s a partner, a friendship, or a moment in life that makes you feel that way.”

After a two-year hiatus to care for TJ and grieve his passing, Bobby returns with a tribute that’s both deeply personal and universally resonant. “He was the most beautiful, selfless person on the planet,” Bobby says. “Watching him go through that consumed everything. Nothing else mattered. But I know he would want me to release music again. This song is for him-and for everyone who’s ever felt that kind of love.”

A departure from the high-octane energy of Dopamine Rollercoaster, Bobby Newberry’s Feelin’ embraces a softer, more uplifting vibe-an ode to lightness, love, and emotional escape. “This one just feels like love and light to me,” Bobby shares. “It makes me smile when I listen and think of moments with TJ. The world could use more of that joy right now.”

To spotlight the song’s intricate vocal textures, Bobby released a stripped-down a cappella version of Feelin’. “I’ve never done that before,” he admits, “but I wanted people to really hear the richness of the background vocals. There are literally hundreds of layers. My favourite part is the final minute, when it swells into something that feels like my own personal choir-or a boy band moment.”

Feelin’ goes beyond being just a love song-it’s a tribute to the purest emotions that make life beautiful: love, laughter, and joy. “I want people to hear it with the windows down, wind in their hair, and a smile on their face,” Bobby shares. “I hope it makes them dance, sing along, and think of whoever brings that kind of happiness into their world.”
