The third in a series of monthly socials with special guests, this event is part of a wider digital programme of activity supported by **Arts Council England Emergency Response Fund Grant** and produced by Writing Our Legacy, an organisation which aims to raise awareness of the contributions of Black and Ethnic Minority (BME) writers, poets, playwrights and authors born, living or connected to Sussex and the South East.

Dean Atta was named as one of the most influential LGBTQ+ people in the UK by *The Independent on Sunday*. His debut poetry collection, *I Am Nobody’s Nigger*, was shortlisted for the **Polari First Book Prize**. He has a Philosophy and English BA from the **University of Sussex** and a Writer/Teacher MA from **Goldsmiths**, University of London.
