On starting the Youth Race, a one-mile course designed for junior runners aged 7-17 located on Hove Prom, Woody said: “I have run the Brighton Half Marathon many times with my dad, it is one of the most uplifting and joyous races you can run. The Brighton & Hove residents are so supportive – turning out in all weathers to cheer on the runners.

“The course is incredible, taking in all my hometown’s most iconic spots. Starting the Youth Race is a real honour as I get the chance to encourage the kids and pass on my love of running.”

Woody joins other well-known faces also supporting the Brighton Half Marathon including TV personality **James Argent**, actor **Connor Swindells**, comedian and TV presenter **Zoe Lyons**, and DS **Chris Oliver** from Channel 4’s *SAS Who Dares Wins* who are all running in support of their chosen charities.

The Brighton Half Marathon Youth Race is once again supported by **Rockinghorse Children’s Charity**, which supports babies, children and young people, along with their families, at the **Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital** and the **Trevor Mann Baby Unit** in Brighton and all of the specialist children’s wards and baby units throughout Sussex.
